Alisher Aminov is proudly running to serve the people of Lebanon City, Pennsylvania, as their next City Council Representative. Alisher has lived in Lebanon City for the better part of the last decade and works at Country Lane Furniture Store. Alisher is also a commercial drone pilot, and he serves local at risk youth through Yellow Brick Robotics, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit he founded in 2017.
Alisher is invested in the success of our community! Over the past four years, Alisher has devoted the bulk of his time towards making a positive impact in the local community. As the Founder and Director of Education for Yellow Brick Robotics (YBR), he is continuously working with local at-risk youth to boost both their understanding of emerging technology and to help them to build their self-image, self-confidence and self-esteem. Through YBR, Alisher has collaborated with many local organizations and local leaders from the Lebanon Community Library, Harrisburg Area Community College, Making a Difference of Lebanon PA, Lebanon Valley Council of the Arts, the Salvation Army, the Lebanon School District, Commonwealth Charter Academy, Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, and New Image Camps for Kids. You will often find Alisher out and about in the city, helping various organizations with back-to-school initiatives, playground and park clean-ups, information booths and drives, community trash pick-ups, and the like. He is also a youth leader at his church, working with boys in the 6th - 8th grades. In addition to these things, Alisher has been actively involved in several elections and campaigns since 2016 on the local, state, and national level, both as a campaign volunteer and as a poll worker for his local precinct. In addition to his non-profit's, Alisher sits on the boards of three Lebanon based organizations: Making a Difference of Lebanon PA, WEPA Empowerment, and Communities that Care. Alisher loves his hometown dearly. He believes that together we have the ability to become the cornerstone of the Keystone State. In order to elevate Lebanon City, Alisher believes we must now bridge the gap between our multidimensional, multicultural community that makes us who we are and the local government that represents us.
Personal Statement
"My name is Alisher Aminov, and Lebanon City is my home. Over the years, I have watched as people and businesses have come and gone, and I have seen the vibrancy of our community continue to decline. I believe we have all of the talent and resources we need right here in order to make Lebanon City a spectacular place to live if only we created a city environment that fostered business growth, provided pathways for opportunities for fellowship and enrichment, and an created an atmosphere where all residents have the ability to thrive.
I believe there are steps we as a city can take that will not affect our bottom line and will make Lebanon City a better place for new businesses in the future.
I believe that people should have an active voice in what our government chooses to do, and through citizen participation, we will be able to redefine the nature of our community.
I believe that with enough time and dedication, we will be able to bridge the gap between the people who make up the City of Lebanon and the government they elect to represent them, which will, in turn, allow us to grow together.
I understand that one person on City Council cannot achieve great change alone, and while I cannot promise that everything I advocate for will be addressed, it is my mission and my intention as a candidate for this office to be an active and constant voice throughout the process of change."
"Ultimately, I am running for City Council because Lebanon City is my home, and I want to make it a better place." ~ Alisher Aminov
